Are you tired of being tired?

Is your life an endless loop of stress?

Emergency after emergency?

Does your life feel like a hamster wheel?

Like there’s some mad arsonist lighting fire after fire, causing a never-ending race with bouts of stress, anxiety, depression and regrets?

Is this what you dreamed of when you were younger? Do you still tell yourself that it will change? That one day something big will happen and your life will get better?

I have bad news for you. The cavalry is not coming. No one is coming to the rescue.

If you do nothing, your life will get worse.

“Wait a moment! How can you say that?! How can you say that my life will get worse?”

I can say it because nothing in life gets better on its own. This is the Law of Entropy. Anything left alone in its natural state goes into disorder. If you don’t keep your house tidy it will get messy. You have to put in a focused effort. You have to put things in place. You have to clean the dust. You have to wash dishes and do laundry.

The same goes for your life. If your life is messy, put in the effort. Change it. Otherwise, it will get worse. Don’t deal with situations after they arrive. Prevent them. If you only keep putting out fires after they sprung out and don’t preemptively take away the matches, the arsonist will just ignite new fires. There is only one way to change the trajectory of your life.

Take control.

Yes, you can take control of your life. Even if you tried before and failed. Even if it didn’t work last time. And before that. Even if you don’t know where to start.

Because I do.

I know how to get from “I hate my life” to “I love my life”. I learned it the hard way. I hated my life so much that I wanted to end it. I was stopped. So I decided that at least I’ll make my life enjoyable. I went through trial and error, sometimes quite painful. And I did it. Now I live a life I love. I’ll help you to do the same.

If YOU want it.

Do you? Do you want to create a life worthy of living? If you do, read on. But get ready. Some of the things below may hurt your feelings. Change is painful. Especially personal change.

Now you might be asking “How can I change my life? Is it even possible?” The answer is “Yes, you can!”

Tree of Life Quest is all about changing lives. It helps you to be YOU. Its starting points are different from most personal development advice. That’s why it works.

What is different?

If you tried to change things before, sought advice, watched videos or read books, you were probably told that the first step is to set goals. That’s bull.

You cannot set YOUR goals without knowing yourself.

From the moment you were born, you have been told what you should want, how you should behave, and where you should go. Your whole existence is based on things you were conditioned to believe.

But what about YOU? Do you know you? The real YOU?

If you are like most people, your head is full of motives and schemes which are not yours. Your whole being is made of plans imposed on you by society, media, education, government, your boss, church, parents, friends… The list is endless. Anyone and everyone around you has plans for you, for your life.

And where are your plans? Do you know yourself? Do you know your needs? Do you know YOUR values?

I am asking you these questions because they have the power to change how you live. The first step to creating an extraordinary life is answering the main question of your life.

Who are you?

Trying to change your life without understanding yourself is like trying to push a fully loaded train. You are just not strong enough to move it. You don’t have the tools to do it.

But when you discover who you are, it is like stepping into the locomotive (train engine for our US friends) and taking control of the train from a place of strength and power. Getting to know yourself changes the dynamic of the task. Getting to know yourself is the first step, Setting goals will come later.

When you know yourself, you can change YOUR life.

Or read on…

The second thing you are told by most people in the Personal Development industry is that to achieve your goals you have to change. This is wrong on so many levels.

Trying to change who you are is futile. There is nothing so depressing in life as trying to be someone else. To change your life you need to do exactly the opposite. You need to find out who you are and fit your life to manifest YOU.

It’s not you who has to change.

The change you need in your life comes from tuning your life to express who YOU are.
Imagine an old statue lifted from the ocean. It was there for centuries. The statue is covered with silt, corals, seaweed, sponges, and mussels.

That statue is you.

You are covered by all the beliefs and concepts imposed on you by media and society. When you remove the crust of dirt and parasites, the true you will come out. Your task is not to change yourself. Your task is to find out who you are and change your life circumstances to reflect who you are.

Inside an acorn is encoded everything the acorn needs to become a magnificent oak tree. YOU are like that acorn. Inside you is already everything you need to grow into a majestic, grown-up version of you. Just remove the silt and create an environment supporting your growth. And your life will change.

You are enough.

Asking yourself, “How can I change?” leads to nowhere. There’s nothing wrong with you if you don’t fit in. You’re missing the point if you look at someone thinking, “Why can’t I be like that?”. The world doesn’t need another copy of someone else. The world needs you to be YOU. Because you have a distinctive combination of gifts and abilities. No one else has the same mixture. Somewhere in the world is at least one person (but probably many more) who needs to meet you. The real YOU. Because you are unique.

Everything hidden inside you makes you one of a kind.

All the experiences you had? All the things you regarded as failures? They are not failures. They are making you who you are. They gave you insight other people do not have. I attempted suicide. Was it a failure? You bet! But from that failure came a deep understanding of the state of mind people on the brink of suicide have. I can help because I was there. I already helped at least one person I know of just by chatting with him over the phone. First-ever issue of my Growing Tree of Life newsletter describes how a mirror saved my coworker. He now has a beautiful wife and a young son.

If that’s a failure then I want thousands of them. But I want even more. I want to help people like YOU change their lives before they come to that situation. That’s what this website is all about.

To help YOU change YOUR life.

…it’s time to be YOU.

“How does it work?”

Let’s look at the acorn. To grow into a tree, an acorn needs good soil, a source of water and nutrition, and an environment supporting its growth. If the acorn has all of it, the growth is automatic. If the soil is bad, the environment harsh, water scarce, and nutrition toxic, the tree might still grow. But it will be weak and its growth limited. You are no different.

You too need to:

  • survey and cultivate the soil of your life – your needs, values, beliefs, and attitudes.
  • get rid of toxins buried in the ground – beliefs and attitudes alien to your true self, imposed on you by family, society, and media.
  • feast on growth-supporting nutrition and drink plenty of water – the ideas you consume to support the growth of your spirit, mind, and body.
  • shape your environment to support your growth – who you hang out with, what experiences you seek, and what goals you set for yourself.
  •  select and use the right tools to shape your own, personal Tree of Life – not everyone needs to get up at 4 am and run 10 miles per day – be bold, stay true to yourself. Do what works for you not what others say.
  • prepare for storms and seasons of your life – things like the death of someone close to you, illness, losing your job or a breakup of your relationship. Being forewarned is half of the success.

Those things will change your life. Not cookie-cutter-shaped solutions, tools and tips. YOU are YOU. You are different from anybody else. Don’t try to be someone you are not.

The change won’t happen in a few weeks. I don’t sell snake oil, sorry.
You’ll need to put in the time, energy, focus, and hard work.
You will look deep into your soul. Sometimes what we find there isn’t pretty. But pretty or not, I can promise you that it’s worth it.
You will define, design, create and live a life true to yourself.

~ You will feel in control of your life because you will take charge of it
